Missions & Ministries

Trinity Lutheran Church proudly supports missions within our community and around the world that help spread the message of God's love.

Warm-A-Heart Community Outreach is a local charity in Waterloo, Indiana. They are an independent Christ-centered community outreach who provide meals, groceries, and encouragement to area families in need. We, at Trinity Lutheran Church, support them by donating food for the pantry, cooked meals, and volunteers who help out at least once a month.

The Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana is a Lutheran Missouri-Synod seminary which produces future pastors. They exist "to form servants in Jesus Christ who teach the faithful, reach the lost and care for all."  We provide support by donating food items to the pantry, clothing to the campus store, monetary donations, and by bringing in seminarians to work with our pastor and congregation during worship services.

The Lutheran Heritage Foundation is located in Michigan, but works very hard to translate, publish, distribute, and introduce Bible-based and Christ-centered books to people all over the world! Our members have donated money and Trinity Lutheran Church purchases items through the LHF in order to help support their cause.

Camp Lutherhaven "is a year-round outdoor ministry center that since 1949 has been dedicated to creating adventurous, faith-building experiences for children, youth, adults, and families. Their carefully chosen staff, along with a program that includes recreation, God's Word, group activities, Christian fellowship, worship, personal growth, and of course tons of fun, combine to create an unforgettable experience."

The Haiti Lutheran Mission Society, USA works to "save souls, heal bodies, and to provide accredited Christian education" to Haiti.  They have established several churches and an orphanage, provided seminary training, and have ordained new pastors.  HLMS has formed medical clinics in Haiti and brought doctors from the U.S. through medical mission trips. We cannot forget to mention that they have also opened several Christian schools.

"The Mission of the Indiana District LCMS is to encourage and assist the Christian outreach and nurture of its congregations and other ministries.” The district consists of member congregations from the entire state of Indiana and 37 counties in Kentucky. The administrative offices of the Indiana District are located in Fort Wayne.

"In grateful response to God’s grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit through Word and Sacraments, the mission of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is vigorously to make known the love of Christ by word and deed within our churches, communities and the world."

We also proudly support the Lutheran Agency for Missions to Burmese (LAMB) located in Fort Wayne, IN. "LAMB is a non-for profit 501(c)3 organization founded by Rev. James Keller in 2003 with the purpose of providing support and spreading the word of God to immigrants and refugees from Myanmar (Burma) who are living in Allen county. LAMB also provides Christian resources translated in Burmese to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and to strengthen the faith of Burmese Christians."
